About Donovan Myrie
Broadcast journalist and educator with experience in both investigative producing and newsroom leadership. Open to roles in corporate operations, broadcast consulting, positions with sports production, network field production, or a position in higher education that keeps me close to my family. I have good social media instincts relating to news as I work a lot with my digital team. Writing is as much of a passion as is my video production skill set.Aside from my professional experience, I\'m a historian in the areas of commercial aviation, tropical weather (hurricanes), nuclear power, and 9/11 studies (written extensively about each subject).My dissertation centered on the role of digital technology affecting independent media voices (with a case study on nonprofit journalism). My 9/11 book is a reference project detailing the attacks and many different stories that followed.
