ABOUT DONNY W. SUH
Donny W. Suh, M.D,FAAP, MBA works at Gavin Herbert Eye Institute at University of California at Irvine as a Professor and Chief of Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus. He also works at Children\'s Hospital of Orange County. He completed his pediatric ophthalmology and strabismus fellowship at The Wilmer Eye Institute, Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. He completed his ophthalmology residency at The Eye Institute, Medical College of Wisconsin, and received his medical doctorate from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. He received his bachelor of arts in biochemistry from Rice University in Houston, Texas. Dr. Suh worked as a pediatric ophthalmologist / adult strabismus specialist at UNMC, Children\'s Hospital and Medical Center, and Wolfe Eye Clinic for 21 years prior to joining University of California and CHIC. Also, he has completed MBA program at Creighton University with Healthcare focus in April 2019. Dr. Suh is a volunteer faculty of ORBIS medical mission programs, and has traveled to South America, Europe, Asia and Africa to provide medical and surgical services as well as to teach the local ophthalmologists. Dr. Suh was a chairman of the Annual Meeting Program Committee in pediatric ophthalmology for the American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO) and the President of Polk County Medical Society in Iowa for 2014. He has been published in many medical journals and textbooks, and is also involved with teaching the residents in pediatrics, internal medicine, family medicine and ophthalmology in Iowa and Nebraska. Dr. Suh is actively involved with research with the Pediatric Eye Disease Investigation Group (PEDIG), which is sponsored by the National Eye Institute (NIH). He is an Ophthalmology Executive Committee member for the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP).
