ABOUT DONNIE WILLIAMS
I have three passions in my career: teach and mentor the future generations of supply chain/business professionals, build a bridge between students and industry, and contribute in some small way to the logistics/supply chain industry in terms of relevant research and innovative ideas. I am fortunate that I get to fulfill these passions through teaching, applied research and industry engagement at the University of Arkansas in the Sam M. Walton College of Business. My academic work has primarily focused on applied research and has been published in various journals, including the International Journal of Physical Distribution & Logistics Management, Transportation Journal, Marketing Theory and Practice, Supply Chain Management Review and Supply Chain Quarterly. I have also been fortunate to be part of a team of researchers that provides the annual DC Measures Benchmarking study for the Warehouse Educators Research Council (WERC).In addition to my academic background, my professional experience includes warehouse operations, project management and leadership training. I have a BBA in Finance, an MBA and a Ph.D. in Logistics and Supply Chain Management, all from Georgia Southern University in Statesboro, GA. Go Eagles!
