ABOUT DONNELL CHRISTIAN

Donnell is recognized internationally as a forensic scientist and leader in his field with an extensive background spanning over 30 years. He is currently a Senior Explosives Chemist for the Forensic Exploitation Directorate of the Defense Forensic Science Center. Donnell has provided forensic technical and training assistance since in these countries: Algiers, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bangladesh, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Dominican Republic, Georgia, Haiti, Iraq, Kazakhstan, Kosovo, Kyrgyzstan, Liberia, Moldova, Paraguay, South Africa, Senegal, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan. Beginning as a contractor, and transitioning to a federal employee, Mr. Christian began his international forensic development work for the U. S. Department of Justice’s International Criminal Investigative Training Assistance Program (ICITAP) as the Forensic Science Development Coordinator where he managed, implemented, or provided directed training to forensic programs in developing democracies and post-conflict nations. His work with ICITAP lead to his role as the Director of International Training for PBSI. In total, Donnell has had a direct impact on the development of forensic science programs in over 20 countries. His most significant achievement was assisting forensic laboratories in the former Soviet Republics of Armenia, Georgia, and Moldova to achieve ISO 17025 accreditation through their national accreditation body. In addition to his professional duties, Donnell is the author of six books on the topic of forensic chemistry, clandestine laboratories, criminal investigation, project management, and six sigma. Donnell is also a contributing author of chapters in six edited volumes and dozens of scientific publications in peer-reviewed journals. Donnell, a native of Arizona, is married. He and his wife reside in Georgia. They have four sons and four grandchildren and three long-haired mini-dachshunds they dote on.
