ABOUT DONNA CHRISTY WOOLMORE

I lead the resourcing function for Sizewell C – one of the UK’s most significant infrastructure and energy programmes. I’m responsible for shaping and delivering the end-to-end recruitment strategy across both employed and embedded contractor populations.My role covers workforce planning, capability mapping, resourcing governance, employer branding, systems implementation, and developing high-performing recruitment teams. I’ve helped design and implement new recruitment systems, and built key partnerships with specialist providers – including targeted campaigns to attract ex-military talent.I’m a committee member of the Sizewell C Forces Support Network, where I lead on recruitment activity and our commitment to the Armed Forces Covenant. I was proud to lead our successful application for the Silver Defence Employer Recognition Award – a formal recognition of our support for veterans, service leavers and reservists. I’m passionate about recruiting from the armed forces community and value their discipline, commitment and highly transferrable skills.I work closely with senior stakeholders – from Directors and Heads of Function to operational leads – to ensure alignment, pace and quality throughout the hiring process. My background includes managing and training recruitment teams, and delivering high-volume and specialist hiring across sectors including construction, rail, commercial, M&E and engineering.Hands-on, pragmatic and solutions-focused, I’m committed to improving candidate and hiring manager experience, ensuring compliance (including IR35), and building scalable, effective recruitment strategies.
