   As the founder of Focus Telecommunications, Inc, I\'ve enjoyed over three decades of building our answering service/contact center, working through the different stages of growth. Our company is recognized as one of the premiere answering services in the US. Today, the day-to-day running of our family owned business is largely in the capable hands of my two sons, Jim Reandeau, who came on board in 1993 and is our VP of Business Development/CFO, and Tom Reandeau, our VP Of Operations/COO, who joined us a year later. Their deep entrenchment and dedication to Focus allows me to be the visionary, the \"polisher\" and the person who spends time in the industry creating educational tools for others to use to expand their services. I believe a \"raising tide lifts all boats\", and I strive to elevate our industry. My favorite pastime is hosting Training Workshops for supervisors and mid-level managers. They are like sponges, eager to learn, and wide-eyed when they discover that they are not alone, others fight the same battles they do. They leave armed with things to say when employees are chronically late or fail to do their job properly. I believe I can have more impact on the excellence of our services by training our industry\'s front-line people, than any other way. A testimony to that belief came when a young woman came to her second workshop and confided that her\" whole life changed after attending the first workshop\" the year before.\"I learned how to be a leader.\" she said. We don\'t always hear such a heartfelt tribute, but when I hear of the advancement of one of my students, I know what I do makes a difference, and is worth the effort I put forth.
