I lead the Education Service at 42nd Street, a young people’s mental health charity in Greater Manchester.Manage and have oversight of a multidisciplinary team of mental health practitioners delivering a portfolio of services to young people in education settings across Greater Manchester.Oversee the delivery of Mental Health Support Teams (MHSTs) across schools and colleges.Support education communities through consultation and whole-school approaches.Work to ensure services are accessible, inclusive, and as culturally appropriate as possible.Champion equity, innovation, and improved outcomes for young people.Alongside my role at 42nd Street, I also serve as a Director on the Board of the Windrush Advocacy and Community Alliance (WACA), supporting the Windrush generation and their families through advocacy, community engagement, and strategic leadership within the wider Alliance.I am a Board Member with MAV UK (Mothers Against Violence UK), contributing to governance, strategy, and programmes that support families, deliver mentoring, raise awareness about violence, and campaign for safer communities.In addition, I am the creator of Love Doesn’t Forget, a storytelling and advocacy project that shares my family’s journey with dementia. Through this work, I bring together culture, memory, and practical guidance to raise awareness and support other families navigating dementia.Across all my roles, I remain committed to building services and communities that are inclusive, culturally aware, and rooted in equity.
