Therefore, my goal is to support them, making them feel valued and empowered in their work. Having started my career as an electrical engineer, I moved from technical problem solving to more people-oriented roles, managing an operations-focused workforce that interfaces with internal groups from sales to field technicians, and external customers. I’ve learned through this experience that I thrive in both people and process challenges. I’m adept at using both analytical and communication skills in working with all levels of colleagues, from union employees to senior executives. Managing from a “people first” position enables me to be genuine and effective. If my team is at their best, they flourish and their productivity is maximized. I also know that proven, efficient processes are critical to my team’s success and ultimately our customers’ satisfaction. In addition to my day-to-day responsibilities, I’ve served on several non-profit fundraising campaigns for both United Way and ArtsWave. Initially I volunteered to lead the departmental campaigns. After achieving success at that level, I was appointed by the Cincinnati Bell CEOs to co-chair the internal corporate campaign, and ultimately serve on the ArtsWave campaign cabinet for two years.
