ABOUT DON MOWBRAY

Cloud technologies expert and thought-leader.An accomplished speaker with a large array of experience delivering keynotes to industry events in the areas of Cloud, PaaS and related middleware technologies. He is able to understand and articulate the value of technology at all levels of organisations from technical through architectural to the business level. Helped to nurture and incubate newly acquired technology companies as a result of Oracle’s acquisition strategy and, to date, has led the EMEA Go-To-Market strategies for a number of key technology acquisitions, including: Tangosol, BEA Systems, Stellent, ClearApp, mValent, GoldenGate Software, Amberpoint and Sun Microsystems.Don has more than 20 years experience in Cloud infrastructure and platform, middleware technologies with particular expertise in Cloud, SOA and Java-based middleware architectures. He has held numerous positions in business and sales development, technical consulting, presales, technical architecture and solution architecture practices. Don holds a BA(Hons) degree in History and German from the Universities of Bristol and Hannover and a PhD in Medieval History from the University of Bristol. He is a Fellow of the Royal Historical Society of Great Britain and a Member of the Chartered Management Institute and holds a Level 5 Award in Management & Leadership (QCF) from the CMI. He is also an RFU Level 2 Qualified coach in Rugby Union.
