About Donise Griffin
I am a chemical engineer specializing in cancer research and biomedical applications. Currently pursuing a dual degree in Chemical Engineering and Biomedical Engineering at Carnegie Mellon University. My research experience at the University of Pittsburgh has equipped me with skills in developing novel cancer therapies, allowing me to collaborate with leading professionals in the field and contribute to impactful projects. In addition to my academic pursuits, I serve as the current CMU Treasurer for the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE), where I manage finances and organize funding from companies to support our chapter’s initiatives. As a woman in science, I am passionate about mentorship and supporting the next generation of engineers. I actively engage with my university’s Society of Women Engineers, where I outreach to local schools and promote diversity in STEM.
