   The Executive Director (ED) serves as the Chief Operating Officer for the Lynn Museum & Arts Center organization, which came into existence as the result of the merger of the Lynn Museum & Historical Society and LynnArts, Inc. As such, the combined organization operates two buildings (one leased; one owned) and associated grounds in Downtown Lynn, and includes a theater space, artist studios, and an extensive historical and archival collection that dates back to the 17th century. The ED is responsible for the organization’s consistent achievement of its mission and financial objectives through strong and positive leadership, while expanding the donor and audience base through community outreach and strategic partnerships. The ED also plays a substantial role in implementing the strategic plan of the organization as it evolves into a 21st century multi-cultural center at the hub of Lynn’s Downtown Cultural District.Responsibilities include: • Developing innovative exhibitions and programs that broaden the organization’s reputation for artistic excellence and quality scholarship• Forging partnerships to expand and elevate educational enrichment to serve broad and diverse audiences• Implementing a strategic plan to activate all available space in both buildings with the goals of maximizing and stabilizing income; attracting members with diverse interest, backgrounds and skills, and expanding the organization’s audience and donor base.
