About Donald Wilkins

With over 25 years in the Healthcare IT industry, I have had the fortune to see it change dramatically and be part of that catalyst. Having a focus on both delivering technology to solve business problems as well as transforming it to become more efficient has been my primary focus for 2 decades. Having a foundation in the deep roots of I.T. as an engineer and layering that with a security minded approach has been the core to building and molding my teams. I have had the great fortune to know so many wonderful individuals in this industry and I am humbled to have had that experience building and managing those great teams. The majority of my career has been focused on growing I.T. in a small group of companies and have been able to see one of them grow through many business phases. That experience is invaluable in understanding where and when technologies can be the fuel for some of that growth and when it might not be the right time. Technologies like SDN is one of those examples that timing is important as to whether it drives benefits. That timing depends on the company’s life cycle and long-term goals. Additionally, having that security focused approach to management can enable those companies to accelerate their security position because it was part of the foundational principals in IT. Being able to do that and see the results is phenomenal. From companies like NDC Health, Navicure / Waystar, and now the present, have provided a deep understanding of Healthcare related data services that allows me to better relate the complexities of the industry and how I.T. solutions should align with the core focus of the business. That understanding provides insight to solutions that I.T. brings and how the customer is served in the process. At the end of the day it is the commitment to the customer that matters and that is what drives me every day.
