About Don Zirkle

Attended the University of Akron earning degrees in Technical Education, Business Management and Marketing/Sales Technology. Worked for ETI Technical College in North Canton as the Placement Director. Don was hired at Mature Services Senior Employment Center (Formally SWAP) on December 5, 1994. As the Training and Placement Supervisor training mature adults and trainers in successful job search and retention with an average placement rate of 80%. Don conducts workshops, seminars, and three week Job Clubs as well as Train the Trainer courses. Trained employers on how to best work with mature workers. Don was one of the first non-profit professionals to employ distance learning equipment extend training to satellite offices throughout Ohio, significantly increasing placement rates in these branch offices.Specialties: Job Development, Job development activities, Job Club training, conduct workshops, seminars, and organizing successful events. Managing various levels of staff to reach agency goals and provide individual training to achieve educational goals.

We train them to fill out an application completely and correctly as well as on-line applications, develop effective resumes and cover letters, how to effectively develop and use references, cold calling, and networking. We cover how to have an effective job interview while bring employers in on site for recruitment opportunities.
