I am a Signalling Engineer with 30 years experience in the railway signalling design function in which i have been IRSE licenced since 1995 and i’ve held positions within schemes development, records, design and testing sections throughout this period, encompassing all aspects of railway signalling.Correlation, design and testing have been my main experiences on a variety of railway signalling systems through my career including mechanical, free-wired, geographical and solid state interlockings. From producing/checking estimates, specifications, scheme plans, control tables, through both location/interlocking design & associated circuitry, to commissioning & design cover, i have enhanced both my knowledge and experience in every project i have been involved in. I am now contracted with three companies, where i’m utilised as a Signalling Design Manager, Principles Designer, Independent Checker, Responsible Design Engineer, Contractors Responsible Engineer, Signalling Works Verification / Functional Tester, IRSE Work Place & Competency Assessor and mentor to junior staff.
