ABOUT DONALD MURISON
I’m a change delivery person, usually IT change (though sometimes non-techie stuff), with a background on large, messy projects. I’ve got enough scars from long, death-march projects to realise that shorter delivery cycles are the way forward – you know, Agile! And I’ve backed up my experience with formal Agile qualifications across business analysis, product owner-ship (PSPO) and scrum master (PSM).Often working as a business analyst, but in other delivery roles too, I find I can help by working through ambiguity, getting to the heart of a problem, clarifying what outcome and solution is needed, and then get people pointing in the same direction.I’ve implemented large enterprise applications, getting to grips with how you get them to work, how you represent your business within them, and how you get them talking to all the other systems out there. Plus, I’ve worked with the tools that help you deliver change – Confluence, Jira, Sparx EA, Azure DevOps and everyone’s favourite, IBM Rational Doors - though I’m also happy to guddle about in Notepad, Visio and of course, PowerPoint.I also enjoy helping others develop, whether that’s formal line management, coaching and mentoring, or just sharing experiences with peers. I’ve been lucky enough to be supported by various people through my career, so it’s good to do the same.
