As a senior hydrogeologist I specialise in development focused research with an emphasis on rural water supply, groundwater resources and water security in South Asia and, East and Southern Africa. I work in collaboration with a range of academic institutions, universities, NGOs, multilateral and bilateral agencies, and consultancy companies.I am also involved in the the UK Geoenergy Observatories project in Glasgow which aims to better understand mine water resources for renewable energy: https://ukgeos.ac.uk/glasgow-observatoryI was a researcher on the UPGro program a multi-disciplinary collaboration between social and natural sciences to investigate and enable sustainable use of groundwater for the benefit of the poor.
