Additions duties including researching exist product performance, identify and implement new products and assist in product design. Prior duties including the daily management of the engineer and design functions for an $80 million manufacturing operation. In this position, responsibilities included the direct supervision, training and and mentoring of a 30-member engineering team including a 25-member sales, estimating, and field team. Key Accomplishments:• Utilized profits from tenure as VP/Sales & Engineering to design and construct 2 state-of-the-art automated production facilities, resulting in increased daily production volumes form square feet daily to square feet per shift and 24/7 operation due to automation.• Developed revolutionary new product line of structural wall and floor panels for residential multi-family housing; received City of Chicago building code approval within a 6-month time frame.• Catered to customer’s specified performance and design criteria in the manufacture and design of a 2-mile long prototype retaining wall system used by the Corps of Engineers to protect the integrity of the Chicago Sanitary and Ship Canal at Lockport, IL.• Provided daily guidance and support to sales, estimating, plant, and field operations in the areas of technical support, problem resolution, product utilization, and company policies and procedures.• Performed structural design and architectural intent for a PCI award-winning dormitory and athletic facility located at North Central College, Naperville, IL.
