Manage a team of 5 people within the Procurement department across offices in Perivale, Runcorn, Manchester and Dublin•Currently oversee Procurement and Supply Chain activities for the Pod-Trak Group, this includes UK business operations as well as Irish and European operations.•Working closely with HSQE department to set our base line for carbon and set targets for the future. In 2022 we bench marked our carbon outputs, working closely with a consultant firm we have set figures to reduce carbon emissions•Answer any supply chain / procurement / sustainability / innovation questions as part of our tender returns. Increasingly there are in depth questions regarding our use of supply chain to deliver key works and how we engage with our partners. •Hold regular meetings with Senior Management, presenting both research and strategic plans for how to deal with pain points for the business. I was invited to attend the senior leadership meeting at the Belfry this year and was given as slot to present a piece on how I think a greater use of the procurement department could deliver not only savings but efficiency gains, better quality products, business purchasing strategies that transcend project by project buying.• Hold Quarterly review meetings with supply chain to understand where improvements can be made by gathering feedback, address any issues we are facing, discuss market trends and set targets for the coming quarter. Understanding who we spend, how much we spend with them and what we spend on can help us make informed decisions on things such as rebates, bulk buying opportunities, market diversification etc…•Track spend across our all categories and monitor cost increases Divisions covered – Civils (both on track and track side), City Fibre install, Rail Systems (Civils, OLE, P-Way and ETE), Airports Infrastructure, and Data Centre Cable Management SystemsManaged spend totaling last year
