   EXECUTIVE LEADERSHIP AND PROGRAM OVERSIGHT: Serve as the principal assistant to the Director of Staff of the Defense Health Agency (DHA), an Army Major General. Provide support to the Director of Staff, Principal Deputy Director of Staff, and seven widely diversified and dispersed Joint Staff Directorates, to include the J-1 (Personnel), J-3/5/7 and it’s three subordinate Directorates (J-3, Operations; J-5, Plans, and J-7, Education and Training), J-4 (Logistics Policy), J-6 (Information Management Policy), and J-8 (Resource Management). Review all incoming and outgoing Congressional correspondence. Review draft DHA procedural instructions, administrative instructions, and other publications. Review and approve Memorandums of Understanding and Agreement; hiring actions; and Joint Table of Distribution Changes. Provide military medical history consultative services to senior leadership and other agencies. Continuously review internal management controls, identifying and correcting flawed procedures and installing new processes to protect government resources. Manages the Agency Mission Assurance Program, ensuring critical functions and facilities are identified and protected- Worked closely with a wide variety of stakeholders across the Agency to provide input on the Agency’s reorganization along traditional staff lines to better align with the Services, Combatant Commands, and other Combat Support Agencies - Appointed Acting Assistant Inspector General to provide subject matter expertise for a DHA-Director requested study on DHA’s effectiveness as, and workforce’s understanding of, the Agency’s role as a Combat Support Agency - Worked with the newly hired Chief of the Director of Staff Business Operations to delineate functions and responsibilities between the Assistant Director of Staff and the Chief of Business Operation within the new Director of Staff construct
