Over my career I have spent (albeit timelines are not mutually exclusive or I would be older than Methuselah) 30 years as a Journeyman Electrician; 25 years as a Microsoft Certified System Engineer Completed my Certified Management Accounting degree in 1995 4 years as a Microsoft Professional in Dynamics GP I have owned my own accounting and electrical business (How\'s that for diversity!) Five years as Director of Finance and Administration for the Department of Education - School Districts Five years as Director of Information Technology for a major distribution company Owned my own consulting business Past 4 years as a Senior Financial Consultant specializing in Dynamics GP in the public sector I volunteer on construction programs for an average of about 100 - 150 hours per year. It helps keep my electrical skills current :) About 15 hours per month I am a volunteer teacher And several other forays into various business opportunities, some good and some not so good
