As the Managing Director of Medical Shared Services at CoreCivic, I oversee the business units that provide onsite and offsite medical services to over 30+ facilities across the nation. My core competencies include revenue cycle management, process improvement, technology implementation, change management, and analytical skills. I am driven by the mission of CoreCivic to provide safe, secure, and humane environments for individuals entrusted to our care, and to offer opportunities for rehabilitation and reentry. In my current role, I manage the execution of centralized offsite medical scheduling, telehealth, claims processing and provider networks. Additionally, I oversee innovative strategies designed to leverage automation and integration between our EHR, our customers EHR, and other offsite vendor systems. I also lead the development and implementation of new innovative programs, designed to enhance the health and well-being of our staff and our patients. Additionally, I collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to optimize the performance and efficiency of our healthcare operations, using data-driven insights and industry best practices. Some of our recent achievements include, reducing our TAT for offsite scheduling by 50% through automating our offsite medical scheduling process, improving our claims auto adjudication to 80%, launching a successful virtual nursing telehealth program, and reducing our offsite medical costs by 25% through patient navigation and growth in the provider network.

CoreCivic Health Services operates over 30+ facilities across the United States and providers onsite and offsite medical services through 1,200+ healthcare professionals. As Managing Director, I am responsible for overseeing the following business units: • Manage the execution of offsite medical scheduling for all CoreCivic facilities. Our Centralized Scheduling team schedules over 15k appointments annually across 20+ states. Leveraging automation and integration between our EHR and offsite referral management system, our centralized scheduling team has reduced the turn-around time for scheduling offsites consults by 100%, improving the speed to accessible healthcare through our network of specialists and provider groups. • Oversee the curation and growth of CoreCivic offsite medical networks. Our provider network team manages relationships with over 600+ providers across the United States. We partner with large health systems, ambulatory surgery centers, specialists, medical groups, independent contracts and other vendors to ensure network adequacy is met via on-site or offsite services. • Responsible for managing offsite medical care reimbursement for over $100M in healthcare costs across 30+ states. Our centralized claims team processes over 25k claims annually and ensures timely reimbursement in under 30 days to offsite medical providers. • Accountable for developing and implementing the Telehealth Strategy across all CoreCivic Health Services facilities. Programs include virtual nursing, chronic care, behavioral health, peer-to-peer provider consultations and tele-specialty clinics. All CoreCivic virtual programs are designed to improve accessibility to healthcare, reduce offsite medical care transports and improve quality of care for our patients.
