ABOUT DON KELLY

Don has been a project manager and coordinator for National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and regional planning related projects for over 16 years. He has was worked on a diverse range of planning projects, some of which include environmental impact statements for major multi-state utility infrastructure projects, social impact assessments for large mining operations, and city and county open space and trails master planning. Don grew up on the west coast of Arizona along the Colorado River, but left to pursue his college education in Phoenix where he earned a BA in Anthropology and a BA in Philosophy in and later a Masters in Urban and Environmental Planning at Arizona State University in 2007, where he served as a Faculty Associate teaching Planning Research Methods and History of the City from 2010 to 2014.He is a recovering archaeologist, but falls off the wagon whenever fieldwork opportunities present themselves. In his spare time he enjoys hiking in the desert, gardening and annoying his friends with amateur guitar playing. When he isn\'t working he can be found either reading in a quiet corner, or spending time with friends and family.
