Alpha Cognition is a clinical stage, biopharmaceutical company dedicated to developing treatments for under-served neurodegenerative diseases, specifically Alzheimer’s Dementia (AD), Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) and Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) otherwise known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease. We engage in both pre-clinical and patient research to advance its products and have core competency in researching and commercialization of Central Nervous System (CNS) products. Our goal is to create an innovative Central Nervous System company by developing, acquiring, and commercializing innovative therapies.Our lead product is ALPHA-1062, previously referred to as ‘Memogain’. ALPHA-1062 is a proprietary, delayed release oral tablet for the treatment of mild-to-moderate Alzheimer’s with a near-term goal of FDA approval and commercial sales of ALPHA-1062 oral tablet formulation. Our ALPHA-1062 development program is primarily focused on clinical and regulatory development, Chemistry, Manufacturing and Control (CMC) development, and commercial readiness. We have three additional development programs: ALPHA-1062 in combination with memantine for the treatment of moderate-to-severe Alzheimer’s, ALPHA-1062 nasal formulation for the treatment of mild traumatic brain injury, and ALPHA-0602, previously referred to as ‘Progranulin’, for the treatment of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, otherwise known as ALS or Lou Gehrig’s Disease.
