About Don Howard
Don Howard, MD, PhD, is a physician-scientist, healthcare entrepreneur, and former academic with more than three decades of leadership at the intersection of clinical medicine, diagnostics, and biotechnology. He is the founder and former CEO of CellNetix Pathology and Laboratories, one of the largest private pathology groups in the U.S, where he led the development of precision oncology programs, national reference services, and strategic partnerships across health systems and the diagnostics industry. Dr. Howard brings a unique blend of scientific depth, operational experience, and strategic insight to advisory and board work. He has served as Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Washington and as Chief of Pathology at Swedish Medical Center, and has extensive experience in governance, clinical integration, and executive leadership. His board and consulting contributions have supported innovation, managed risk during high-growth phases, and guided multidisciplinary organizations through complex transitions. He holds a PhD in experimental pathology from the University of British Columbia and a BA in philosophy from Boston University.
