Over 40 years, I\'ve developed a number of unique individual and team skills that have benefited a number of companies in the upstream oil & gas market, as well as universities and government agencies. One of the constants associated with all areas that I\'ve worked in, is that change is inevitable and should be embraced. Change is driven by perception, requirements and constraints, Understanding how to manage those issues is key to successful execution, whether it\'s an EPC project, production, or service. Graphical and written communication skills are critical to ensure all stakeholders are on the same page. Verbal communication is ephemeral. If it\'s not on paper, it blows away like dust. Successfully institutionalizing knowledge is impossible without understanding how knowledge is organized and accessed. If you know exactly what you are looking for and where to find it, a simple file cabinet is fine. But if you don\'t know exactly what you are looking for, then more sophisticated means of storage, search, and retrieval methods are required. All in all, eveybody assumes that the newest solution is the best solution because they don\'t have comparative experience with with past solutions. That can leave a lot of money on the table.
