ABOUT DOM KANE

Since 2005, I have enjoyed a career as a self-employed music composer, producer, and engineer. For the past decade alone this has included working on a multitude of projects including the creation and development of an innovative independent electronica record label (5302 Recordings) with a keen focus on synchronisation, the testing development and funding process of a music software package delivering promotional files to DJs, the content creation and delivery of both online and on-campus production and engineering lectures and tutorials, and of course many artist releases for record labels such as Universal (UMPG) and Mau5trap, with live performances at nightclubs and festivals around the world including past residencies at Ministry Of Sound in London, Space in Ibiza, and A\'Priori in Moscow. From 2008 to 2013 I developed in collaboration with a PhD Computer Scientist, an online music distribution software system for record labels to gain critical feedback and client engagement for their forthcoming bodies of work. During 2017, I was the sole sound-designer on a Virtual Reality computer game development team. In 2009, 2013, and 2016, I was part of the sound design team creating original synthesiser factory content sound for iconic synthesiser brand; Moog Music Inc.I currently work with a portfolio of clients ranging from individual artists and groups of all shapes and sizes, sound-design companies such as Loopmasters and synthesiser manufacturers such as Moog, Native Instruments and Novation, to educational institutions such as SSR Manchester, Sonic Academy, and DBs Bristol. This work includes developing and maintaining great working relationships with people from a diverse range of backgrounds, dealing with various negotiations, project strategies, budgets and funding, all while understanding the importance of integrity within art and how variables can affect a project and business outcome.
