ABOUT DOMITILLA SARTOGO
I am an executive producer specializing in global events, communications, and cultural projects. Over the course of my career between the US and Europe, I have led teams producing high-profile events, exhibitions, and publications that became platforms for innovation and cross- cultural dialogue. My leadership spans strategic communications, brand development, public relations, and digital engagement. As Executive Director of Drago, an independent publishing house and communications agency,I have had the opportunity since 2006, to put my skills to the test. My journey with Drago has been a testament to my flexibility, adaptability, and forward-thinking mindset. I\'ve successfully merged product, culture, and community to shape and amplify Drago\'s narrative across a multi-layered landscape. Growing up between the U.S. and Italy, I have long worked at the intersection of European and American culture. My upbringing was bilingual, classical studies in Rome followed by an American University - The Cooper Union School of Art- in New York, where I lived for many years. Known for my action-oriented and solution-driven approach, I have a deep appreciation for curiosity and a genuine passion for driving transformative change within the business. My diverse professional background includes roles as a art director at the Richard Avedon Studio (projects included The New Yorker, Egoiste, Versace campaigns, Pirelli Calendar), talent scout and director of photography at Fabrica -Benetton Group Center on Communications, and professor at Parsons School of Design in New York. I\'ve also served as the Director of Communications for Borbonese, an iconic Italian fashion brand. Notably, I had the honor of acting as the Executive Director of the Florence Biennale of Fashion & Cinema, overseeing seven exhibitions that explored the dynamic relationship between cinema and fashion. These exhibitions brought together award-winning set, photography and costume designers with renowned fashion designers from around the world. On a personal note, I\'m happily married, and we have a 19-year-old son, both of whom share a wonderful sense of humour.
