Oversee a $268 million federally funded grantmaking program, Connecting Minority Communities (CMC) Pilot Program, that engages Historically Black Colleges & Universities (HBCU), Tribal Colleges & Universities (TCU), Hispanic Serving Institutions (HSI), and Minority Serving Institutions (MSI), along with their surrounding communities, to promote economic growth, expand high-speed internet connectivity, and advance workforce development opportunities. Provide leadership, advice, and assistance to NTIA and Department of Commerce senior officials in the formulation, development and implementation of programs and initiatives that expand access to and adoption of broadband Internet service. Guide and supervise a team, including the coordination of program teams and consultants to achieve office objectives. Manage strategic partnerships with federal agencies, MSIs, and stakeholders in technology and telecommunication fields to advance workforce development initiatives and IT modernization, including convening leaders and developing technical assistance resources for universities and colleges. Restructure and design office strategy to better align with agency priorities and responds to needs identified by MSIs to improve implementation, capacity, and long-term learning outcomes of initiatives. Co-lead the Office of Internet Connectivity & Growth\'s (OICG) Program Evaluation activities to deliver actionable insights to leadership and partners to assess the effectiveness, efficiency, and impact of grant funded investments, including developing performance metrics to evaluate outcomes and to scale impact.
