ABOUT DOMINIQUE HARGREAVES
Dominique Hargreaves is a director of sustainability at American Realty Advisors, a leading real estate investment manager with over $11 billion in assets. She is a LEED Accredited Professional and a Certified Sustainability Manager with over 10 years of experience in the field of sustainability in the built environment. At American Realty Advisors, she leads the implementation of the company\'s ESG and climate strategy, including reducing energy, water, and waste across the portfolio, producing the annual ESG report, and submitting to GRESB and UN PRI. She also offers creative and pioneering solutions to achieve the company\'s short-term and long-term sustainability goals and healthy building strategy. Before joining American Realty Advisors, she was the deputy chief sustainability officer for the City of Los Angeles, where she developed and executed the L.A. Green New Deal, the city\'s plan to achieve carbon neutrality and social equity. She also led the international and local policy work on zero carbon buildings, clean construction, and divesting from fossil fuels. Previously, she was the executive director of the Los Angeles chapter of the U.S. Green Building Council, where she hosted the Greenbuild conference in 2016, doubled the membership, and advanced equity and workforce development programs. Dominique is passionate about creating positive environmental and social impact through real estate. She believes that sustainability is not only good for the planet, but also good for business and people. She has been honored with several awards, including the 2023 GlobeSt. Women of Influence, the Women in Sustainability Leadership Award, and the Heart of the Chapter Award. She holds a bachelor\'s degree from Loyola Marymount University and a diploma from Universidad para la Paz. She lives in Pasadena, California, and enjoys cooking sustainable seafood recipes.
