ABOUT DOMINIQUE CALIXTE
With a deep passion for philanthropy and community impact, I serve as a Leadership Gift Officer at the Boston Foundation, where I cultivate and steward relationships that drive transformational giving. My work focuses on engaging donors in meaningful ways to support the foundation’s mission of building a more equitable and vibrant Greater Boston.Previously, I led fundraising strategy as the Director of Development at Big Sister Boston, an organization dedicated to empowering girls through mentorship—a mission that resonates with me personally and professionally. With over eight years of experience in the nonprofit sector, my work has spanned education, women\'s rights, and racial justice, always centering community-driven solutions.Beyond my professional role, I am committed to strengthening the nonprofit sector through board service. I proudly serve on the governing and foundation boards of the Academy of Pacific Rim Charter School, as well as the boards of Women in Development Greater Boston and the Association of Fundraising Professionals Massachusetts. These roles allow me to support leadership development, philanthropy, and equity in the fundraising space.I hold a Master of Science in Nonprofit Management from Northeastern University and a Bachelor\'s in Sociology from Providence College. I bring expertise in event planning (reluctantly), annual giving, donor engagement, and board governance. My ultimate goal? To activate millennials as change-makers through philanthropy and champion inclusive, effective fundraising practices that advance DEI in the sector.Let’s connect and collaborate to drive meaningful change!
