About Dominique Morel

With 10+ years of experience in retail operations, I am passionate about facilitating and sharing knowledge across the Co-Op, developing critical thinking skills, and creating integrated strategies that enhance customer and employee engagement. As the DVP Expertise at REI, I lead a team that aims to maximize and integrate touchpoints throughout the Co-Op, aligning with REI\'s mission and values. I bring diverse perspectives and experiences to the team, having worked in various roles and locations within REI, and having a background in environmental studies from the University of Colorado Boulder. In my current role, I work with cross-functional partners and stakeholders to develop and guide an expertise strategy that covers content, delivery, assessment, and recognition. I oversee the design, implementation, and evaluation of expertise programs and initiatives that support the Co-Op\'s strategic goals and objectives. Some of the skills that I use and enhance in this role are facilitation, knowledge sharing, critical thinking, communication, collaboration, and innovation. I also mentor and coach my team members and peers, fostering a culture of learning and growth.
