ABOUT DOMINIQUE DOM THE PHARMACIST COSSARI

I am a board certified pharmacotherapy pharmacist in the DMV area with a passion for advancing underserved communities by providing equitable and accessible health care. I obtained my doctorate of pharmacy at the University of North Carolina, Eshelman School of Pharmacy and completed my PGY1 Pharmacy residency at Kaiser Permanente Mid-Atlantic Region. I then transitioned to serve as the Regional Clinical Pharmacist at a maximum security prison in Maryland providing care for incarcerated persons. There I held many leadership positions and focused on reducing implicit bias by providing equitable healthcare to the underserved. In my current role, I provide various population health services to high-risk populations such as Medicare and Medicaid- Podcast Host - I am the creator and host of \"Pharmacy Pathways\", a podcast that explores the wide range of career opportunities in pharmacy through real conversations with pharmacists from all backgrounds. Each episode features a new guest, who tells a different story, and offers us something new to consider. We dive deep into their journeys and experiences of pharmacists, highlighting a vast range of practice settings and specialties. The podcast offers inspiring stories, practical insights, and guidance for anyone looking to start, grow, or shift their path in the world of pharmacy. So whether you\'re a budding pharmacist seeking inspiration or a seasoned professional looking for new insights, Pharmacy Pathways was created just for you- Professional Development - I served as Senior Program Coordinator of the Organizational Office of Diversity and Inclusion at University of North Carolina, Eshelman School of Pharmacy. In this role, I founded, co-founded, and facilitated numerous programs and events geared toward professional enhancement, leadership, and DEIB recruitment and retention. I am also the co-founder of Forward Consulting Services (FCS), a company that was created to close the gap of inequitable access to professional development resources and training within the healthcare system. We work with a diverse range of clients who have students and candidates looking to advance their careers within the healthcare industry. Our clients include academic institutions, professional associations, and non-profit organizations within the fields of pharmacy and occupational therapy. Our tailored programs and services are designed to cultivate skills, improve patient care, and foster continuous learning and development.
