A central role in the delivery of the AWE capability through ensuring operational factors are incorporated and integrated into project planning from the outset and reflected in concepts, requirements, contractual/commercial, design and delivery plans/documents; and acting as the Intelligent Client for the Transition Phase of capital infra projects. To ensure that when assets/outputs are delivered they are able to operate and ramp up to Full Operating Capability seamlessly and without delay.This was achieved using the Defence DLODS (defence lines of Development) covering the seven tenets that support an operational condition. This was along side the development of the department itself which we a new concept withing AWE.
