About Dominick Domingo

Dominick Domingo, author and illustratorDominick Domingo is a multi-media storyteller who can bring life, passion and resonance to your project! Dominick graduated with distinction from Art Center College of Design with a BFA in Illustration. Having interned at Disney Feature Animation during school, he began work immediately after graduation on a new project to become known as The Lion King. He continued on, in both LA and Paris, painting backgrounds and visually developing Pocahontas, Hunchback of Notre Dame, Tarzan, Little Match Girl, and One By One. During this time, he freelanced as an illustrator for major publishers like Penguin, Putnam, Random House, Hyperion Books, Disney Publishing, Harcourt and Wizards of the Coast (Magic, the Gathering.). After eleven years in animation, Dominick embarked on his own live action filmmaking career. His films won awards in the festival circuit and garnered distribution, but most importantly his ‘Original Screenplay’ credits led him to put a lifelong love of writing on the front burner. His stories and essays have won awards and been included in anthologies. The Nameless Prince, a trilogy published by Twilight Times Books, marked Dominick’s foray into Young Adult Fantasy. Though his heart is in pecking away on a laptop at coffee shops nowadays, he continues to freelance on CG Animated films for such companies as Blue Sky Animation (Epic, Ice Age: Continental Drift,) Animation Lab, Israel (The Wild Bunch,) Prana(Angry Birds) and Nickelodeon (Shimmer and Shine.) He founded the Entertainment Arts track in Art Center’s Illustration program and taught at his Alma Mater and other private and state colleges for twenty years. https://podcastguests.com/expert/dominick+domingo
