ABOUT DOMINIC TURNER MENG IENG

I am a proactive and resourceful professional with excellent skills in collaborating with project teams, interfacing with clients, executing design coordination and ensuring high quality across various construction projects.With a qualified Masters Degree in Civil and Structural Engineering from the University of Sheffield, I previously played key roles in the Construction industry as a Site Engineer at John Sisk & Son Ltd and also at Winvic Construction Ltd. After seeking a new challenge to enhance my understanding of Civil Engineering principles, I joined the Design department at Winvic and I am now a Design Manager. I am also actively working towards my IEng MICE and CEng MICE Chartership qualifications with the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE).In my previous Site Engineer roles, I demonstrated strengths in undertaking a variety of surveying, setting out and levelling work using the total station and automatic level instruments. I also gained invaluable site experience through working on a variety of projects. With John Sisk, this includes a multi-storey car park at Wembley, an office refurbishment at Shoreditch, a Bet365 HQ at Stoke, a waste water treatment plant at Cork, a student accommodation block at Birmingham and two luxury apartment blocks at Manchester. With Winvic, this includes an Amazon warehouse and a rail freight interchange at East Midlands Gateway. I have honed a number of skills from these roles which includes teamwork, communication, multi-tasking, leadership and independent problem-solving.In my Design Coordinator role, I have played a key part on the Jaguar Land Rover Logistics Operations Centre project with Winvic. I have developed further skills including interfacing with the Client, solving design clashes and organisational skills.As part of CPD, I have acquired qualifications such as SMSTS, first aid, fire marshal, confined spaces, buried services and asbestos awareness. With John Sisk, I have also completed a 4-year graduate scheme called Excelerate.I approach tasks with strong determination and dedication, and always strive for excellence at whatever I do.
