The role of Regional Claims has a number of strands to it. I am responsible for a team of six individuals who all have their own allocation of varying client size. All claims from all classes of business are dealt with and there is an allocation of mainly corporate clients that I deal with. Part of the role also includes client visits, producing reports and being part of the renewal process as well as being part of any new business presentations.In addition to my client allocation I also act as a technical reference point for the team as well as other colleagues with claim issues. I also take over responsibility for any large and/or complex losses that fall within the department.I also have responsibility for a number of supplier related relationships from LRI providers to solicitors and loss adjusters. These are not just to ensure the smooth running of claims but I also incorporate ensuring current legislation is updated within the region and have organised a number of seminars for colleagues and clients for topics such as the Jackson Reforms and the Insurance Act.
