Lead Engineer on qualification of second source power supply for two printer programs. Involved working with various groups such as design engineers, Product Safety, Product Assurance, and EMC (Electro Magnetic Compatibility) department.• Drive cost reductions on several electrical components and assemblies such as a smaller tact switch and use of a solid core toroid.• Work with the Lexmark Safety department to implement safe designs in printers.• Supported low-end printers both in and out of production but still utilized in field.• Far East partner interaction to run engineering changes on printers stemming from issues found during Product Assurance testing or from field data.• Lead Electrical Engineer in PE Department supporting all electrical systems on Lexmark’s Low End Mono Laser Printers.• Performed EMC (ElectroMagnetic Compatibility) testing on printers and seek low cost solutions when problems arose. Lexmark has its own EMC department which includes chambers and test stations.• Extensive travel to Korea, China, Taiwan and Philippines to assist Lexmark partners with various design and production issues.
