Energy storage is a critical enabler of a clean, reliable, and resilient grid. Without it, we can’t fully unlock the potential of renewable energy or ensure grid stability as we electrify more of our economy. Storage provides flexibility and helps build a system that works smarter.At a time when the federal government is stepping back from guiding the inevitable energy transition, state-level policy (especially at public utility commissions) is more important than ever. Advancing policy and refining programs to accelerate distributed energy adoption at the state level isn’t just urgent; it’s a proving ground for how we get the energy transition right.That’s why I’m excited to share that I’ve joined Tesla, where I’ll be working to bolster solar + storage adoption, get virtual power plants up and running, and support state-level policymaking that enables a clean energy future. I’ll be covering residential and utility-scale storage policy across the Eastern U.S, while continuing to build regulatory expertise and deepen my focus on storage solutions.Combating climate change and realizing the grid of the future takes more than a good idea - it takes a commitment to implementation and execution.
