ABOUT DOMINIC CAMPEAU

Dominic Campeau began his career in education in 2001 after playing professional baseball and proudly representing Canada as a member of the national team. He spent over a decade teaching middle and high school students in Florida public schools before joining the Sage Hill community in 2012. During his teaching career he has taught Patterns of Civilization, World History, U.S. History, Government, and Economics.Beyond the classroom, Dominic has made a lasting impact as both a coach and school leader. With more than 20 years of coaching experience, he led Sage Hill’s baseball program to two league championships and a CIF-Southern Section title. His leadership earned him Baseball Coach of the Year honors from both the CIF-Southern Section and the Newport Beach Chamber of Commerce.Since becoming Dean of School Life in 2018, Dominic has led with empathy, consistency, and a deep commitment to student well-being. He oversees school culture and student life across all grade levels, managing discipline, advisory programs, leadership development, student-led clubs, and academic teams. He chairs key committees, partners with families and faculty, and plays a central role in hiring, admissions, and long-term planning. Dominic also leads a multidisciplinary team that includes School counselors, Lead Class Advisors, the School Nurse, the Wellness Team, and administrative staff, all focused on creating an inclusive, healthy, and engaged student experience.He holds a B.S. in Social Science Education from the University of Central Florida and an M.Ed. in Independent School Leadership from Vanderbilt University’s Peabody College. A National Board Certified Teacher since 2007, Dominic was recently selected for the NAIS Aspiring Heads Fellowship, a program supporting the development of future independent school leaders.
