Set up annual budget accounts and execute government contracts. Monitor the Command Budget Estimate (CBE) to ensure a reasonable variance (+/- 2%) Provide the following oversight and execution of five core competencies: fund the force, accounting support, cost management, financial management planning, and management internal controls. Monitor all transactions within the division to ensure funds are executed efficiently. Train, mentor, and manage all Government Purchase Card (GPC) holders in the organization. • Administer and execute Government Travel Card (GTC) and Defense Travel Service (DTS) for Division level element consisting of accounts. Responsible for leading staff that reviews and assist customers for travel using government funds.2013 Command Resource Management Officer NATO Training Mission, Afghanistan:• Contributed to the budgeting and management execution of a combined $9 Billion dollar Afghanistan Security Forces Fund (ASFF) budget directly supporting all combat operations, humanitarian aid, and support throughout Afghanistan. Responsible for direct planning, programming, budgeting, and execution (PB & E) and Contract Administrative Support. Review requests for project proposals and related government funding and contracting documents.• Contracting Officer Representative (COR): Assisted Contracting Officer in reviewing contracts, Statements of Work (SOW), invoices and preparing necessary documents for payments. Acted as the liaison between Government Finance Office, Contracting and Commercial Vendors.
