ABOUT DOMINIC BINKS

Previously Dominic was working in the iOS team of Vuforia - Qualcomm\'s augmented reality solution using expertise of Android build, git and various other areas to support Vuforia\'s increasingly offering.Prior to his return Dominic enjoyed working with Android, Linux and all the good things he has grown to love over the years - and missed so much recently. Dominic had responsibility for build and integration across the Qualcomm Innovation Center\'s Android port portfolio.Before transferring to San Diego, Dominic was a key member of the development team for Qualcomm\'s customisable phone based shopping application doing what he enjoys most and does best - writing software.Prior to this Dominic worked as part of a small agile team developing a web site for a service based company - 82ASK.Dominic also has worked in highly customer facing roles in SavaJe as a technical account manager and also as a technology consultant at Generics Group (now Sagentia).Formerly a developer of the Aethos service node, now the LogicaCMG Payments system. Wrote the subscriber management function, many system upgrade scripts, rewrote the process management function, error and alarm handling, centralised configuration. Also did some DB admin. Release engineer for about 2 years. A fair amount of on site testing and installation work.Specialties: Computing systems in telecommunications networks both server side and client side, IN architectures. Databases. C/C++, Python, Unix, BREW, Rust, various processor intrinsics and Arm assembly
