ABOUT DOMHNALL MCCORMACK

Managing Director at A&M within the Software, Technology, and Services Industry Group.He brings a unique background, having designed, developed, and managed mission-critical, high-availability software in Financial Markets that has driven major business and technology transformations across corporates, software companies, and IT services environments. This expertise is complemented by hands-on experience in leading, scaling, and transforming software businesses within a private equity setting.Previously served as the lead Operating Partner Executive at ION Investment Group, a private equity firm executing a build-and-buy strategy centered on software and data. During this time, the business scaled from €1 billion to over €3 billion in revenue, with a portfolio workforce exceeding employees.Held several executive leadership positions at ION alongside establishing the Operating Partner group, including- General Manager/CEO of Fidessa, a FTSE 250-listed software company with €400 million in revenue and 1,400 employees, following its privatization by ION in August 2018, serving as CEO until the end of 2019 when Fidessa was fully integrated - SMF 29 (Apportionment and Oversight) for Fidessa under the FCA Senior Management Regime.Prior to ION Domhnall spent 12 years at the world’s largest Wealth Manager (UBS) where he was a Managing Director in Technology. C-level roles included- Global CIO of Fixed Income, Commodities, and Currencies (and Non-core), overseeing engineering teams of more than professionals- Chief Technical Officer for the Investment Bank, responsible for setting strategy, architecture, and technical direction for engineers and a total cost of ownership (TCO) exceeding $1 billion- Group Head of Enterprise Architecture, managing a TCO of over $3 billion.Earlier in his career, Domhnall gained post-graduate experience at Andersen Consulting (now Accenture), starting as a developer. He advanced through roles in System Delivery, leading large-scale transformation programs, IT and Business Advisory assignments, and Outsourcing Sales. His work spanned diverse industries and global locations.
