Leadership and supervision:Provide supervision and coaching to the Community Engagement Team and Community Specific Team. Supports Equity Office staff in working directly with Community Partners and Community Based Organizations with a racial equity and intersectional equity lens.Works across Public Health Division centers, offices, and programs as well as state agency partners to implement cohesive working structures that best serve community needs, maximize financial resources, and support achievement of community goals for health.Identifies budget needs, prepares projections and works with supervisor to identify and plan resource allocations.Directs work and evaluation plans that support delivery of strategies for community engagement strategies with external partners (LPHAs, FQHCs, Pharmacies, Health Systems, etc.). Strategic planning:Develops strategic community-led initiatives on behalf of Oregon’s governmental public health system. Collaborates with Public Health Division managers and staff, state agency partners and others on the development and implementation of health equity initiatives. Recommends and execute policy strategies, options and legislative position to leadership and advance public health equity as directed by communities and peoples experiencing marginalization those with lived experience with health inequities.Training and technical assistance: Builds capacity among the public health system for successful implementation of community engagement and health equity initiatives.Builds cohesive connections between community-based organizations, local public health authorities, philanthropic and other community partners.Coordinates the provision of training and technical assistance to local public health authorities on community engagement and health equity.Serves as subject matter expert on community engagement and health equity.
