Hi, I’m Dr. Dolapo Ruth Adu, a GMC-registered doctor (MBBS Distinction, 2020) with hospital-based experience and current clinical attachment at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals and Sheffield Children’s Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. Alongside my clinical practice, I hold an MSc in Public Health and International Development (Distinction) from the University of Sheffield, where I was awarded the prestigious Allan & Nesta Ferguson Scholarship journey has been one of resilience and growth: at 15, I left Nigeria to study medicine in Russia, navigating a new language, culture shock, racism, and harsh winters. Despite these challenges, I graduated top of my class and later earned my Master’s with distinction. Along the way, I built a business to support myself, received awards for research excellence, and was recognised as Best Overall Delegate at the Sheffield WHO Conference.In the clinical space, I bring both academic and practical strength: Skilled in core procedures and NHS systems (Connect EPR, eMDS, ICE, Aperture) Certified in ALS, BLS, and PALS Experienced in patient-centred care, high-volume caseload management, audits, and quality improvement Committed to safeguarding, teaching, research and continuous professional development aligned with NHS valuesBeyond medicine, I am deeply passionate about helping young people reach their full potential.
