With over 35 years of experience as a designer, innovator, technologist, and engineering leader, I specialize in the development, commercialization, and deployment of advanced digital communication products. My expertise spans RF, analog, and digital electronics, as well as lasers and optics, silicon photonic integrated circuits, CMOS driver technologies, and high-performance DSP ASICs.I bring a disciplined, analytical, and pragmatic approach to designing and developing RF, photonic, and fiber-optic hardware for subsea, long-haul, metro, access, and data-center networks. My work has contributed to major advances across the communications industry, including DWDM filters, ROADM optical switches, RF/optical transceivers, 100G/200G/400G QAM coherent transceivers, 100G/400G/800G PAM4 silicon-photonic transceivers, Erbium-doped fiber amplifiers, Raman amplifiers, and RF broadband amplifiers.I have extensive experience leading multidisciplinary teams of engineers and scientists across all aspects of product realization, including architecture, design, analysis, integration, verification, and deployment. My technical scope covers hardware, firmware, software, mechanical systems, photonic ICs, digital ASICs, electrical control circuits, RF transmission circuits, signal/power integrity, and high-speed PCB design.Highly focused on execution, I excel at delivering complex telecom and datacom hardware products on schedule and within budget. I bring the technical depth, systems-level thinking, and persistence required to solve challenging problems in RF engineering, optics, electronics, digital communications, and DSP.
