About Sam Wainwright
I am a general internist, pediatrician, and health services researcher. I see adults and children in outpatient clinics and care for adults in the hospital. I focus on generation-spanning care that supports patients across life’s transitions (teen-to-adult, adult-to-parent, hospital-to-home). I also am particularly focused on building support for new dads as they seek the best possible health for themselves and their families.I completed the Harvard combined residency training in internal medicine & pediatrics at Massachusetts General Hospital, where I also served as the Chief Resident for the med-peds residency program for 20••••21. I am a graduate of the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Medicine.I started professional life as an analyst in the health policy program at the New America Foundation, a public policy think tank in Washington, DC. I have a degree in Latin American and Caribbean studies from the University of Michigan, which means I have the sometimes annoying propensity to engage in extremely enthusiastic conversation about social insurance in rural Argentina.
