ABOUT NYOKI COSEY-BROWN

I am a licensed clinician, educator, and mental health leader with extensive experience supporting individuals, families, and professionals as they navigate life transitions, stress, trauma, and emotional wellness. I bring a compassionate, culturally responsive, and evidence-based approach to counseling, grounded in both clinical expertise and real-world understanding.I hold a doctoral degree and have worked across diverse clinical and community-based settings, including outpatient mental health, academic environments, and large-scale behavioral health programs. My work is informed by cognitive-behavioral, acceptance-based, and strengths-focused interventions, with an emphasis on helping clients build emotional regulation skills, resilience, and clarity in their personal and professional lives.In addition to my clinical practice, I am a nationally recognized leader in behavioral health innovation. I currently serve as a Clinical Director, where I support the expansion of technology-enhanced mental health services designed to increase access and improve outcomes for children and families nationwide. I am also an author, presenter, and educator, and I frequently speak on topics related to mental health equity, advocacy, and the intersection of technology and care.I am deeply committed to creating a safe, affirming, and collaborative therapeutic space. I believe in meeting clients where they are, honoring their lived experiences, and partnering with them to achieve meaningful, sustainable change.Outside of my clinical work, I am actively engaged in community service and cultural advocacy through professional and civic organizations, reflecting my belief that healing occurs not only individually, but collectively.
