I’m a board-certified OB/GYN, Techstars founder, and global advisor who believes that when women are trusted with science and supported with dignity, they change the world.My path began in the chaos of postpartum depression. It was a crisis that nearly ended my career, but it ultimately became the catalyst for building a company rooted in healing, purpose, and impact.Today, I’m the Founder and CEO of Lybbie, a Techstars-backed maternal health company creating wearable and digital tools that give breastfeeding families real-time insight and expert-guided support. I also serve as the Clinical Educator of Ob/Gyn for TeamHealth, where I oversee education for more than 200 hospitalists across the country. I am also the Medical Director at the Atlanta Birth Center, where I work closely with midwives to support physiologic, community-centered perinatal care.As a physician and IBCLC, my work is grounded in evidence-based practice and shaped by deep collaboration with lactation consultants and interdisciplinary teams. I serve on ACOG’s Breastfeeding Expert Work Group, where I help shape national guidance for perinatal health.Before stepping fully into entrepreneurship, I spent more than a decade in academic medicine and was promoted to Associate Professor at Emory University. I have also advised global health and technology organizations on maternal health strategy, clinical education, and digital innovation.Across every role, I am known for translating complexity into clarity. Whether I am building sensor platforms, designing clinical simulations, developing national curricula, or guiding health system transformation, I bring a perspective that is science forward, emotionally intelligent, and equity driven.I welcome opportunities to collaborate in maternal health, digital health innovation, clinical education, and women-led ventures.
