ABOUT DOAA IBRAHIM MOHAMED

I firmly believe I have gained an exquisite amount of experience in a few different industries over the past couple of years. I could sit here and write down all my experiences and skills I have gained but I am a believer in actions speak louder than words! One thing about myself is that I am passionate. Having passion for a job or industry that you want to enter will make having a job very enjoyable. My passion is Investment Management. I’m always looking for a new way to see life as the world is constantly changing everyday. I see myself being very successful in the future and I have a lot of ambition and things I would love to achieve. A few of my successful moments have been- My appearance on BBC news and BBC Radio Sheffield. I was asked to speak on BBC news about the conflict that is happening in Sudan, my home country. I wanted to raise awareness on the ongoing crisis which is still in occurrence. My passion is not only in my academics but also emotionally. I wanted to do everything I could to make people aware of what was happening and I am fortunate to have achieved that- Opening a Student Mental Health Society alongside a friend. During the Covid-19 period, a-lot of students were struggling particularly with their mental health during the lockdowns. The purpose of the society was to educate students and train them in noticing the different signs that someone is having a difficult time- Starting a Society at University. Initially, I wanted to educate and bring students together to learn more about East African Culture and heritage as well as helping students settle down at university by meeting people similar to them. This was deemed successful and managed to collaborate with a sponsor as well as other societies within the university. Logistics Assistant at Aldi- I was fortunate to gain a job similar to the industry I want to work in. Aldi is one of the fastest growing supermarkets in the United Kingdom and working for them has been a pleasure and a great learning opportunity for myself.
