   As a design engineer with EMD Electronics, I was responsible for and assisted with various projects in the Chem and GasGuard product lines in the Product Engineering group. In my time with the team, I was primarily involved with the technology transfer of Korean equipment to US standards and codes for a major customer order. This required collecting accurate and up-to-date information, updating and correcting associated drawings, understanding the form and function of related equipment in the project, and occasionally communicating with the customer to resolve manufacturing and engineering issues. I also designed or implemented solutions to ensure that equipment and related documentation could pass any required certifications, such as a new part to hold a new component or closing the gap between Korean and US design standards. To this end, I was treated as the primary designer and point of contact involving drawings for this project when a product engineer received news of a change or issue that required design work. I was trusted to deliver accurate and correct drawings in a timely fashion by my team, which I accomplished on multiple occasions following requests from customers, third party reviewers, or manufacturing team members.Alongside my drawing work, I worked in a laboratory environment, where I created experimental test setups and wrote hardware test plans to verify customer reported specifications, worked hands-on with customer equipment to prepare it for certification testing, and provided my in-depth knowledge of a customer system to less familiar individuals looking at said system.
